An e-scooter, which generally symbolizes modern mobility, is transformed into a rigid and immobile sculpture by being cast in concrete. The work thus further stimulates the discourse on ideas of progress in e-mobility and the benefits for the climate.
Ruhender Fortschritt is an artistic work that, upon closer inspection, reveals deeper levels of meaning. The title itself suggests irony and complex language: progress, frozen and seemingly immobile. As a powerful statement, it invites us to reflect on the boundaries between progress and regulation, mobility and restriction in our society.
