"Ironing and Weaving" combines contemporary handicrafts with ironing beads and the historical weaving technique of tapestry. Both techniques are based on a grid and use pixels to determine the pattern of the image. The generation of patterns is therefore not as different as it might seem at first glance.
During the workshop we will explore together how these two techniques can be combined. We will create images with both fuse beads and weaving and see how they work in conjunction. Miriam and Hanna cordially invite you to "ironing and weaving" and would like to bring handicrafts and handicrafts into the exhibition space as an artistic practice.
