LIMINAL DISTANCES. BETWIXT AND BETWEEN
with: Lu Cheng, Andrea Karl, Lisa Karnauke, Lena Krüger, Malin Müller, Julius Niemeyer, Anne Nitzpan
kuratiert von Luise Wank & Rosanna Marie Pondorf (Rosa Stern Space)

The exchange project LIMINAL DISTANCES: BETWIXT AND BETWEEN presents the continuation and return of LIMINAL DISTANCE. This exhibition shows a diverse selection of works by students from the Muthesius Academy of Fine Arts Kiel (class of Prof. Andreas Greiner) and the Academy of Fine Arts Munich (class of Prof. Peter Kogler).

In Kiel, the focus is on the different working methods of the individual artistic positions and deals with what has so far been left out, unnoticed and unprocessed. The exhibition concept - Distances as an Inbetween to be worked on - and the works that were shown in the Rosa Stern Space in Munich in fall 2023 serve as a thematic and physical basis for joint work.

By occupying the space for four days, the artists take up the concept of open spce open spce open spce... and interact with each other to develop empty spaces to be filled. Specifically, the participants share their own working methods, both physically and in terms of content, with the other artists in smaller groups.

The opening hours adapt to the workflow of the respective groups: Sometimes it's worth popping in as early as 8am, while others may have their most productive phase late in the evening.
