GREGOR SCHUSTER – Holding back the years
“Holding back the years” is a multi-channel video and spatial installation by Gregor Schuster. He has reconstructed every Christmas since his birth in 1989 with the help of his family's video archive. Instead of arranging the films linearly, he shows them simultaneously in one room. The result is an image of a millennial's time - or a family portrait that documents the media transformation from VHS video to digital. It poses questions about the meaning of rituals, the transformation of society and the transience of existence.
HYOJUNG YUN – Harmonie
With the “Harmony” project, Hyojung Yun strives to create inner and social harmony through her ceramic installation work. She uses a unique approach by incorporating sounds that lie between audibility and silence, but can still be perceived. This method aims to encourage individuals and society to hear and embrace the voices of different people from different backgrounds and perspectives.
The harmony achieved through this work extends beyond emotional self-discovery. It reflects the need for and expression of continuity in relationships between members of society and the community. It thus creates a platform on which the diversity of voices and the integration of different perspectives lead to comprehensive social harmony.
